I am Barbara van Rijn, a filmmaker and visual storyteller. I produce corporate films,
animations and other visual explanatory products for corporate and developmental
agencies.

I find it intriguing to break down information in order to trigger emotions and
capture and hold the viewer’s attention. My passion lies with storytelling, especially
human-interest stories, in all kinds and forms. I concentrate on telling people's
stories in my privately produced documentaries.

With 13 years of experience in storytelling and 9 years of experience in Ghana,
I have had the opportunity to work in many different sectors. For aid and developing
organizations, such as GIZ and CDD Ghana, I have developed creative concepts,
impact-videos, visualized data through animation, designed infographics, produced
audio documentaries, and provided creative input in the designing stage of projects.
For foreign corporate clients, like Wienco, Royal Haskoning, Vitens and ING Bank,
I have produced call-to-action videos, moodclips, and promotion videos. The
Agriculture Sector is one of the main sectors for which I have produced project
setup videos, explanatory animations, short success stories and field photography.
